Glasto: The Round Up...

Yes, I'm back from my annual pilgrimage to the most magical and beautiful place on earth and I am slightly broken from all that fun.

I will try to keep my round up short and sweet as for those who missed the best event of the year, my ramblings may well make you a teeny bit jealous.

Here is a little snippet of who I saw...

Two Door Cinema Club, Wu-Tang Clan, Radiohead, U2, Rob Da Bank, Plump DJs, Jimmy Eat World, Pulp, Chemical Brothers, Shy FX, Laura Marling, Paul Simon, Beyonce and about a ton of great DJs.

I spent some beautiful time in the healing fields and had a massage avec hippie love. I chilled at the infamous Stone Circle as well as the highest point of the festival and basked in awe at the view.

Five much needed days away from the hustle and bustle of my hectic, London life has sorted me out completely and as soon as I get my voice back I will  be feeling 100% better.

What I wore...

For those of you that have been, you will know that there is far too much to see and do to worry about your look the whole time. Therefore you will not be getting infinite outfit posts from myself from Glasto. Here is a little taste of my festival wardrobe though.

Where's it from?

Look 1: Hat, fox tail, bag and t-shirt: vintage, leather jacket: Warehouse, leggings: H&M
Look 2: Top: H&M, cycling shorts: Primark, bag, tail and jacket: as before.

Sunglasses (both looks): Vintage.

Highlights...

My highlights have to be U2 (yes a surprise for me too), Chemical Brothers, Beyonce (another surprise for me), Plump DJ's, Pulp, finding Strummerville and my beautiful morning in the healing fields.

I will be posting another visual diary before the week is out so stay tuned.

It's Been A While...

Sorry my wonderful readers for my lack of posts. I have been off living the life at Glastonbury. I'm getting some much needed rest today but will do my up-most to bring you the thrills and spills from my favourite place on earth tomorrow.

Smiles and hippie love for now...

Recent Obsession: We Are Handsome...

This week I have stumbled across Australian swimwear and apparel brand, We Are Handsome.

 I am in love.

Their statement prints and unique shapes along with their beautiful and dreamy campaign imagery (I am a sucker for hot advertising) leave them a cut above the rest. I only hope that the new 'Memoirs' collection gets stocked in the UK as I have my eye on the 'Dreamer' leggings.

The LCF BA Runway Show...

Last week I hot-footed it from the studio I was shooting at to Paddington at top speed and thank god I did. After a little melt down as the cabbie didn't know where he was going and a quick change from plimsolls to mega-wedges I arrived at the venue of the London College of Fashion's BA show.

The collections were outstanding, I was thoroughly impressed with each and every one. Strong technical ability mixed with out-of-the-box design skills made for a show which was far more than a graduate presentation. These are the people that will be dressing us in the future.

I took around 200 shots so I won't share them all but here are a few favourites...

From right: Nano Aoshima, Charlotte Barry, Ya-Chiao Sung, Kana Tojo, Yingzhi Luo, The finale, Yeashin Kim, Wun Wun Nova Chiu.
Congratulations to the winners:
Innovative use of fabrics award: Steen Riis
Best use of trimmings award: Charlotte Barry
Collection of the year: Wun Wun Nova Chiu

London Street Style: In The Pink...

LOVE this girl's look. Relaxed layers and jersey scream comfort yet she still manages to look chic. PRO.

Taken in Broadway Market, east London.

The CAT Footwear AW Launch...

What: CAT Footwear AW Launch
Where: The Boundary, Shoreditch
Ate: Fruit salad and OJ (it was breakfast time)

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the CAT Footwear AW press day which incorporated the launch of the hugely anticipated launch of the Martine Rose and CAT collection.

Menswear designer, Martine Rose has used CAT boots in her last few collections which were shown on the catwalk at London Fashion Week. Staying true to the original shape of the infamous 'Colorado boot' Rose has added her personal and signature touch to the boots with utilitarian style buckles as well as using different fabrics and colourways. The boots are super-cool and take me straight back to year nine when I had my own pair of black Colorados. The collection hits stores in September and there will be a limited amount made, so be safe in the knowledge that if you make the right choice by purchasing these bad boys, you will be one of a small and perfectly dressed bunch.

The rest of the collection is pretty darn great too. Look no further for your AW run-arounds, CAT has all your needs covered.

Big thank you to CAT and Chase PR.

Look Du Jour...

Today's look came from the age old predicament...the sun was out but I feared my legs were not completely 'summer ready' especially as my diet has somewhat taken a rest this week. With this in mind I opted for a trusty maxi.

Where's it from?

Top (actually a dress): Warehouse, Skirt: Primark, Belt: vintage, Sandals: New Look
