Be Mine...

After lusting for what seems like my whole life (real time- about three months) I still want the burgundy, Litas by Jeffrey Campbell. They are affordable (which makes the fact that I don't own them even more ridiculous), I just seem to find other things to spend my pay cheques on (Glastonbury, vintage dressing gowns, appletinis and magazines- to name a few recent purchases). These really must be my next purchase, I can feel my happiness slipping away every time I realise that I STILL don't own them.

I do hope The Boy is reading this as it is my birthday soon - hint, hint.

Ode To Helmut...

Helmut Newton most certainly hits my top-five favourite fashion photographers of all time. His black and white, erotic and Parisian-esque chic images still get me as excited as they did the first time I saw his work. His work reflects a time when true glamour and sophistication was in abundance, models were chic and sexy and the photographer was god.

Event: Forever 21 London Launch...

What: Forever 21 UK Launch Party
Where: The Old Sorting Office
Drank: Berry vodka cocktails, topped with ginger beer

Wednesday night saw my beautiful friend (and blogging buddy) Sarah-Leigh and I head down to the UK launch of popular, US brand, Forever 21.

I was cynically anticipating a regular store event but I was overwhelmed with surprise. The brand have hit the UK with a bang by holding their launch in fashion week venue, The Old Sorting Office, and it wasn't your run-of-the-mill, ordinary launch either. As we walked into the venue it felt as though we were walking into a mini dream. A carousel, hotties on roller skates, tippie tents and beach huts brought an LA-cool vibe to a rainy London.

WAH Nails were dishing out treatments and a virtual, 3-D fashion show reminded us why we were all there. All-in-all a great launch of an already established brand in a new market.

The Oxford Street store opens tomorrow and if you can't wait, then shop online here.

4: Sunflowers from my wonderful friend Ria
5: Weekend reading

Recent Obsession: Math Collective...

I have recently come across womenswear brand, 'Math Collective'. Their simple cuts and clean lines, worked in silks and leathers are very much my style and now at the top of my lust-list. The contemporary yet un-complicated silhouettes of each piece screams off-duty elegance and each piece could easily be taken from day-to-night. With affordable price points, (the sandwash silk blouse is a very well priced £68) and the fact that they are showing at September's London Fashion Week means that this brand is definitely one-to-watch.

Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the spring/summer collection to get you through Monday afternoon...

Chanel Couture AW11...

A separate post was needed to give the credit to my favourite collection of Paris Couture Week.

It was Chanel.

There are no words I can use to sum up how I feel about the collection but I will say that it gives me an overall sense of happiness and leaves me with only one thought, " what can I do to earn the money to own these pieces?".

Well done Karl, you've done it again.

Paris Couture Week: AW11

A little late with my posting on this season's couture week, so apologies but I have only just found the time to view each and every show in full and that's what these shows deserve. Couture collections are why I first became interested in fashion. Viewing a show is like entering a divine dream.

Here are a few of my favourite looks from this season's collections.

1. Alexis Mabille 2. Armani Prive 3-5. Azzedine Alaia 6-10. Christian Dior 11-14. Elie Saab 15-17. Givenchy 18-20. Jean-Paul Gaultier 21-24. Valentino
