My round up of fashion week is coming slowly but surely, I'm sorry for this lovely readers but I have been frightfully busy.
So I'm not going to give you endless lists of the shows at fashion week because as much as we all love talking and reading about clothes I suspect as you are reading this you will have already viewed and scrutinised the shows by now for yourselves. Instead I'll discuss three from the week...
First up: Spijkers En Spijkers on Saturday. Hmmm, what can I say? Not ground breaking nor enthralling BUT very wearable and slightly innovative. The look was feminine and prairie-esque but had a slightly kinky twist with cut out details and straps.

The second show of Saturday for me was House of Holland. After much hype, the chance of getting into the show ended up being slightly more exciting than the collection- harsh? Yes, as I did like many of the pieces, I just felt there was a lot going on in one collection. Jewel tones, bold floral prints, chiffon, pleats, fringing and metallics all clashed together to make a bright and bold statement for SS11 in the Holland camp.
A must have from the collection is the blue, metalic pleated skirt.
The third show that I am going to discuss in this post was the grand final, the piste de resistance, the final show of the week: Ozwald Boateng. Now that was a show. Simply mind blowing and honestly the most powerful thing I have ever been lucky enough to see. With at least 100 models walking (cast from both agencies and the street) to strong tracks including Prodigy, it's no surprise that this show received a standing ovation at it's conclusion.
Highlights included the bold colour statements in yellows and a palette of blues, leather panelling and quilted patches on the beautiful tailoring. The impact of all models walking together at the end to Florence and The Machine's cover of You've Got The Love was enough to give a girl goose bumps and I LOVE that he brought his dad out at the end of the show. Bravo Ozwald- the perfect close to the season.
