Wolf & Badger's Dover Street store launch

I have championed Wolf and Badger from the get-go. Not just another fashion boutique, W and B promote, support and most importantly- stock emerging and independent design. The carefully (and brilliantly) curated selection of womens and menswear, jewellery, accessories and even home wear is enough to make even the biggest stylista's mouth water and their store concepts are pretty easy on the eye too.

What's most impressive about this wonderful brand is it's age. It was not long ago that Wolf and Badger was just a twinkle in the co-owner's (and brothers) Henry and George Graham's eyes and it has now just opened it's second London store on the coveted retail space that is Dover Street, Mayfair.

I was lucky enough to hit the launch party this week, here's what I saw...

As you may know from previous posts, I'm also a fan of Gerogia Hardinge so you can imagine my excitement to see that her A-Mazing SS12 collection is now being stocked at the store (goodbye savings account).

The CAT Footwear AW Launch...

What: CAT Footwear AW Launch
Where: The Boundary, Shoreditch
Ate: Fruit salad and OJ (it was breakfast time)

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the CAT Footwear AW press day which incorporated the launch of the hugely anticipated launch of the Martine Rose and CAT collection.

Menswear designer, Martine Rose has used CAT boots in her last few collections which were shown on the catwalk at London Fashion Week. Staying true to the original shape of the infamous 'Colorado boot' Rose has added her personal and signature touch to the boots with utilitarian style buckles as well as using different fabrics and colourways. The boots are super-cool and take me straight back to year nine when I had my own pair of black Colorados. The collection hits stores in September and there will be a limited amount made, so be safe in the knowledge that if you make the right choice by purchasing these bad boys, you will be one of a small and perfectly dressed bunch.

The rest of the collection is pretty darn great too. Look no further for your AW run-arounds, CAT has all your needs covered.

Big thank you to CAT and Chase PR.

New Obsession: Sam Edelman

I literally LOVE shoes (a girl who works in fashion liking shoes? What a surprise).

Mega heels and wedges are my weapons of choice and the more impactful and statement the better. If you are like me then you will also LOVE New York shoe designer, Sam Edelman.

Edelman has literally read my shoe mind for his AW11 collection, I would kill for almost each and every pair (including some of the flats - which I never get excited about).

Pony skin, quilted leather, panelling, metal detailing, studs, spikes, wedges, stacked chunky heels (need I go on?)...basically he ticks every box on a heel wearer's AW wish list. I need to start pushing links over to The Boy in time for my birthday in September for the updated version of last year's 'Zoe boots' they are magical and I think they may have pushed my top birthday present (Jeffery Campbell's Lita's) off the top spot of the wish list.

The Zoe boot

Sam Edelman are represented by 1927 in London and can be bought in Selfridges, My Wardrobe and ASOS.

London Calling: Vero Moda is on it's way!

I came across European brand Vero Moda about three years ago. A friend from Ireland had a few pieces from their collection and it was love at first sight. Ever since I have longed for the day that I will be able to saunter into one of their stores whenever I like, that day is almost here.
On 4th November, Vero Moda are launching their London flagship at 179 Oxford Street, London and I can't wait! I will of course attend the launch and give you the low down of the store, the collection and of course my wish list! Be one of the first to get to the new store on the 4th and you could get one of their coveted gold bags which entitles you to a free outfit!
Their AW collection is directional and lust-worthy, whilst being easy on my new vintage purse so I am getting ready for some serious shopping.

If that wasn't enough excitement, I have been lucky enough to receive some pieces from the Vero Moda Very collection pre the launch, (is that faint squeals of jealously I hear?!). I received the beautiful box yesterday and I will be playing dress-up this evening so keep your eyes peeled for a peak into my wardrobe and the new collection on the blog tomorrow.
Our Vero Moda sources are encouraging us to pick up a copy of the Metro tomorrow "for a little Vero Moda surprise" now if that's not a reason to get out of bed in the morning, I don't know what is.
