Wow, I can't quite believe that fashion week is back again, I'm still pretending that summer for SS12 is going to hit London any day now and we are now looking at SS13!
Friday- day one of London Fashion week was actually my birthday, so after breakfast in bed (thanks to The Boy) and a few rounds of Stevie Wonder's, Happy Birthday (it's a bit of a tradition to listen to this during present opening), I was off to see my first show of the day- Zoe Jordan.
The collection was sleek and polished as well as super-fun and wearable which meant it ticked all the right boxes for me. Loose, easy-to-wear silhouettes and casual separates mixed with letterman style jackets and leather baseball caps (which I am a little bit in love with) gave the sophisticated collection a sports-influenced, tom-boy vibe.
I particularly enjoyed the use of different textures seen in lightweight silks, all-over beading, leather and suede in bold reds, prints and accents of metallics.
All-in-all the collection was relaxed and effortless and I wouldn't mind owning just about every piece for next summer and it was the perfect way to kick off LFW.

Great Scott These Are Cool...
Firstly, HUGE apologies for being such a bad blogger recently. I've just been so busy with work that something had to give! Anyhow, I'm back and have I got a treat for you.
Being a mega fan of the Back To The Future films you can imagine my excitement when I saw that Nike are producing the Nike Air Mag trainers from Back To The Future 2. They are not self tying (yet) but they are so friggin' awesome it's unreal. If that wasn't good enough, proceeds from the 1,500 pairs being auctioned on eBay will benefit the Michael J Fox Foundation.
I'd literally do anything for these.
Now if someone could just invent the hoverboard we'd be sorted.

Introducing WORK-OUT...
The new year is here so it's time to make resolutions. What are yours my lovely readers? Mine is to start taking better care of myself (starting with taking vitamins every day- I must be able to stick to that right?).
Anyhow it is custom to at least muster the idea of getting in shape at this time of year but for most the purse strings are too tight for a personal trainer just after Christmas. If this is you then look no further!
WORK-OUT is a new initiative that combines fitness with the great outdoors. An affordable personal training session using expert group training methods which are fun and focused on getting results.
Sessions are held every Saturday and Sunday at 9am in east London and are wait for it...£6 a session so bin the fags and get your sneakers on. Remember folks, fashion week is just around the corner and we must be looking our best for that, plus the trainer is rather tasty so well worth a go even if just for that!

Puma, Here's to the after dark athlete...
I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of Puma's new campaign on Tuesday. Here's To The After Dark Athlete is Puma's new stab at bringing social networking to a brand. The dedicated area on their site allows the viewer to create a profile, shop the collection and connect with others. They have created a viral video to go with the campaign and it's well worth checking out, click here to do so!
Jodie Harsh was there, spinning electro mixes of classic house tracks while guests enjoyed free
booze and bowling.

Gucci Icon; Pop up store, Covent Garden
Covent Garden is playing host to Gucci Icon for the next 3 weeks (from 22nd April). The travelling pop up store first opened in October in New York, then Miami in December and after London it hits Tokyo in June.
Thursday night saw the launch party and the after party was held in jazz bar, Ronnie Scotts and was hosted by Jefferson Hack (of Another Magazine) and Frieda Giannini (creative director at Gucci).
Mark Ronson played with his new band; Chauffeur, (which has been said was inspired by Duran Duran's track, The Chauffeur) and Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes made a surprise appearance on stage with the band. Ronson has also played part in yet another fabulous collaboration by creating the 'Gucci Ronson' with Frieda Gianni. The vintage inspired, lace up kicks are set to be a best seller at the pop up store. The fashion and music collaboration has spread to the Gucci iphone app with a track sharing service being available.
Back to the launch...Friendly Fires also played a short set to a very cool crowd, with the likes of Jonny Borrell, Brian Ferry, Pam Hogg and PPQ's Percy Parker and Amy Molyneux all in attendance.
If you fancy a sneak peak at the pop up store head to 37 Earlham Street, London, WC2.
Let me know what you think of it!

The best store front...fact!
Love this! The guy I have always bought my trusty plimsolls from on Brick Lane has the best sign above his door.

American Apparel Rummage, London
Well Easter is over and after 4 days of fun and chocolate it's time to re-cap. The major news to hit this weekend is the American Apparel Rummage. Held in the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London the casual wear giants were holding a three day sample sale on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I intended to hit on the Friday (thinking I would get the stress of a sample out of the way so I could relax for the rest of the weekend).
Unfortunately, (or now it seems very fortunate) my cocktail haze from the night before did not permit me to muster the strength to go. It appears that the usually cool crowd that frequent American Apparel turned into casualwear hungry animals! A riot ensued and three arrests were made, all for cheap hoodies?! An insider informs me that although they had security letting a steady stream of customers in at a time, the crazy shoppers continued to barge the doors and break through. I for one am glad I gave it a miss, I'd rather pay full price than deal with that.

Adidas Originals; The street where originality lives...
I'm not sportswear's biggest fan but I have just stumbled across Adidas' recent campaign. There is not much to say apart from AMAZING.
Check it out for yourself...
