Lazy Sunset

When on last week's holiday in Gozo, I was lucky enough to take this little number by Tibi with me. The moment I saw this dress I knew it was the perfect holiday piece and the lovely folks at designer dress hire site WishWantWear.com let me take it for a test run.

I love the full skirt and backless detailing, what do you think?

Good vibrations

Yesterday saw a tiny bit of sun and in honesty it was a bit of a shock after the disgusting weather we've seen over the last two weeks, (erm, mother nature- hello? Any chance of giving us a break? I'm STILL waiting to crack open the summer wardrobe you know?). As you can tell by these photos my eyes were a little shocked by the  big, bright thing in the sky (the sun) so they went a little mole like, but I still couldn't resist sharing my very favourite (until the next one I buy), new kimono. It's super-long at the back but we didn't shoot that, so I'll have to share this little beauty with you again so you can see it in it's full glory. Hopefully next time it'll be with less layers.

Paint it Black

How much am I loving this mullet-hem dress? Loads, that's how much. I bought it during March's trip to NYC and am currently enjoying wearing it over black jeans by day.

Here's some Rolling Stones for you, happy Wednesday...

These boots weren't made for walking

How about these latest additions to my collection of 'shoes that I own and love but rarely get to wear because I can't run for the bus in them' collection?

These little beauties are by Jeffery Campbell and they are pretty darn great.

In the sunshine

Saturday saw the sun in London which caused me to celebrate with a flash of midriff. Obviously this was teamed with high waisted trousers, long sleeves and a floor length kimono (I'm not that brave!).

As some of you may know I have a severe love for kimonos and I found this beauty in The Kimono Shop, Soho on my recent trip to New York. I spent about two hours in there discussing my shared love of kimonos with the lovely lady that worked in there (apologies to The Boy, he was very patient).

This one is silk and from the 1940s, I love it. I love the colours and the unusual geometric print. It's great.

I also got the chance to wear my Lennon shades (also bought in New York, which I also love.)

What did you get up to in the sun this weekend?

Sunglasses and Fur

Don't you just love spring days when it's sunny enough to wear sunglasses but cool enough to wear a coat?

Cobbled

Way back in January my old pal, Sarah-Leigh and I popped to west London to visit the Temperley showroom (more on that later). Sarah took a couple of outfit snaps so I thought I'd share...

A week in my wardrobe

Here's a collection of my outfits this week. Unlike lots of bloggers outfit post's, these were taken on my iPhone, by me.

Living in the UK at this time of year doesn't allow outfit posts. It's dark when I leave to go to work and it's dark when I get home and I don't have fancy equipment to make a night shoot in east London work (as much as I wish I did!). Weekends will allow for outdoor photography but the last few weekends have been filled with birthday parties, press days, shoots and pals.

So here it is, a week in the life of my wardrobe and my phone...

You Make Me Live Now Honey

What a delightful autumnal afternoon I've had. Strolling around in the seasonal splendor that is the juxtaposition of warm sunshine and crisp air, with my lovely friend was the perfect way to spend a Saturday. Especially when sporting some of my new and favourite autumn pieces.

Trench (thanks to The Boy) and leatherette trousers: Topshop, silk slip: nightwear circa 1995 (god, I keep hold of things for way too long), draped tee: Primark, boots (again, thanks to The Boy): Office.

Here's a great song for those ears of yours...

LFW: Day 5: The Outfit

This season I missed the Sunday and Monday at fashion week. Unfortunately work commitments came to ahead and I needed to chain myself to my laptop as I had looming deadlines.

My final day to hit the cobbles at Somerset House was Tuesday. I went for a bit of colour as the sun was out (well it was in the morning anyhow).

Blouse and necklace: Topshop, leather trousers and jacket: vintage, bag Chanel, boots: New Look Limited Edition.

Many thanks to the lovely David at The Nyanzi Report for the images (he's a darl).

LFW: Day 2: The Outfit

I have pinched the images of my look from day two from the super talented Ama Samra's blog: Haptic check out her extensive LFW coverage and extremely good runway photography when you get the chance, she rocks.

I took my absolute, favourite recent wardrobe addition, the kimono, on it's first major voyage and I can't explain to you how much I love it. I really need to share an image with you of the back because that really is where the magic happens.

Kimono and trousers: vintage, top: Topshop, necklace: Warehouse, boots: Aldo, bag: Chanel.

LFW: Day 1: Outfit

Here is what I went for sartorially on day one. In hindsight, a leather maxi, a trench with leather sleeves and a long sleeve shirt weren't really necessary as the sun was beaming but that is the joy (or not as the case may be) of London you never know what the weather is going to be like and therefore what to wear accordingly.

Beware Doll, You're Bound To Fall...

Just a little bit in love with my new vintage trousers, even if they are a little bit 'Rupert The Bear-esque', maybe that's why I love them so?

Top: Topshop, trousers: vintage, belt: sample sale, shoes: Primark, necklace: a gift from my father to my mother, arm candy: H&M

Some Bob for you...
