Mr & Mrs Nicolson

Yesterday was a very special day, my dear friend Danielle from university (god that was so long ago now) married her Jordan. Being the first out of my uni crew to get married meant we were all on tender hooks, waiting for the day to arrive with sheer excitement.

True to the Bride's style the wedding was stylish, classic and beautifully stunning.

A truly special couple and a truly special day xx

LFW, Day 1: Caroline Charles SS12

So, that wonderful time of year is upon us again, September Fashion Week. Summer is just drawing to a close and just as we prepare ourselves for autumn dressing the spring shows for next season are thrust upon us (not that I'm complaining).

First up for me was Caroline Charles.

The collection was made up of loose silk dresses, cute tailoring and evening wear- including all over sequined pieces- all very wearable. The later pieces in the collection were less to my taste, although they were beautiful and elegant I'm just not a sequins kinda gal. BUT, the loose silk dresses, sophisticated tailoring and boater hats which all scream riviera chic are all pieces I can get on board with. Every single look within that section would be something I'd gladly cover my back with. Gingham checks, wide leg and tapered trouser shapes, delicate ruffles and florals in a colour palette of white and navy with pops of colour in teal and coral. I specifically enjoyed the silk jumpsuits, mid length navy silk dresses and the checked suit- just wonderful.

The collection is the perfect wardrobe to cruise round the med in on your yacht. If like me (and many others) you don't actually have a yacht, jaunting around the city next summer in one of these pieces would be equally as satisfying.

The finale (please excuse the slight shake of the camera, I'm still trying to perfect my filming skills).

All-in-all an excellent way for me to start the season.

Prabal Gurung SS12

Another triumph from the New York runways...Prabal Gurung's SS12 collection. Bold and feminine silhouettes, floral prints, geometric shapes and fetish undertones in latex, mesh and cut out detailing all featured as well as a strong colour palette of purple, black and white.

Divine.

Recent Obsession: Vintage China...

Last week I discussed a recent obsession with vintage photographs this week it's vintage china. I'm not sure why but I just like it, especially non matching tea cups and saucers.

A sneaky peak...

Yes readers, my favourite week is here, London Fashion Week. We had New York last week and now the fashion train has stopped in the capital. I will of course be doing a full round up of my favourite shows, designers, street style pics, celeb spots, etc etc but that's not what today is about.

As you may have read (see below post), I am now a full time stylist and style journalist so thought I'd share a couple of shots from a recent shoot I have styled, I'm not going to unveil them all you'll have to wait until my website is live but here is a sneaky peak. We shot on Hampsted Heath with a romantic, Wuthering Heights vibe...

The mystery of Hoxton Square...

Hoxton Square is a regular haunt for me during summer. The bars are good but that's not why I frequent it. With my office being round the corner it's the perfect setting for a quick apres work drink in the sun when all you want is to sit on grass after sitting on an office chair for nine hours. It's the centre point between many friends houses so the easiest place to meet for a quick Sunday sun sesh...PLUS there is my new favourite haunt, The Breakfast Club just round the corner, their banana milkshake is da bomb (yes it's true, I just said 'da bomb').

Over the last few weeks upon every visit there has been one question in my mind..."what is that?". Two very large structures under plastic sheeting appeared and no-one knew what they were. Some thought urinals, some thought art but no-one actually knew, until now.

They have been unveiled and are beautiful white flowers...that's one of my mind mysteries solved. Next? Why is my left foot slightly smaller than my right foot? Hmmm...
