LFW: Georgia Hardinge SS12

My favourite elements of dressing at the moment are buttoned up shirt collars, statement prints, capes and a flash of midriff, with this in mind it's no surprise that I LOVED Georgia Hardinge's SS12 collection.

I would literally wear every piece (a bold statement I know - but true). The structured hips, shirt collars, cape detailing and flowing shapes all in a beautiful and elegant palette of grey, white and orange is enough for me to jump into the Delorean and head straight for SS12 now (oh no, wait, I'm not in Back To The Future- darn it, still waiting for that time machine).

I love the contrast between the sleek and strong tailoring and the free-flowing, sheer maxi dresses.

Just like last season, her signature structured silhouettes and most importantly her graphic prints were the handwriting stitched throughout the collection.

This collection is definitely for me, I am still drooling a week later.

Recent Obsession: Dagmar...

On a recent styling job I came across Swedish brand, Dagmar. It's true to say I'm now obsessed. The AW collection offers classic pieces in fresh cuts and shapes. Silhouettes are stretched and slim whilst layering and multiple textures offer an eclectic and bohemian feel to chic pieces.

IN LOVE - OBVS.

LFW: Day 2: Georgia Hardinge

Last season Georgia Hardinge was part of Vauxhall Fashion Scout's 'Ones To Watch' show. This season was her first stand-alone show, and boy am I glad I got to see it.

A really strong collection with an anatomical thread being sewn throughout. Beautiful structure and intricate craftsmanship put a stamp on the collection whilst all the while being feminine and wearable.

I was lucky enough to get backstage to meet the lady herself and she was genuinly lovely.

Georgia, I applaud you and look forward to next season.

LFW: Day 2: Louise Amstrup

The Louise Amstrup show kicked off Saturday morning with a bang. I LOVED it. Known for her relaxed tailoring the collection showed her skills in this area but structure, panelling and directional black PVC was added which gave the collection a chic-goth vibe.

Geometric shapes, splashes of bold yellow and digital prints featured in the predominantly grey and black collection.

Directional yet very wearable = on the wish list.

It's love: Mary Katrantzou SS11

So fashion week has been and gone. Now I am well and truly back to normal life again my mind casts back to that wonderful time, where our fair city was full of the elite from the fashion and style worlds and where I started drawing up my wish list for SS11.

One show that I can't seem to shift from my mind is Mary Katrantzou's. Her extreme mix of structure, graphic prints and femininity were enthralling and as for THOSE lampshade skirts...well I can honestly say I have totally fallen for them. Chic, futuristic and just brilliant, my favourite has to be the blue and yellow fringe trimmed skirt, love the entire head-to-toe look.

The mystery of Hoxton Square...

Hoxton Square is a regular haunt for me during summer. The bars are good but that's not why I frequent it. With my office being round the corner it's the perfect setting for a quick apres work drink in the sun when all you want is to sit on grass after sitting on an office chair for nine hours. It's the centre point between many friends houses so the easiest place to meet for a quick Sunday sun sesh...PLUS there is my new favourite haunt, The Breakfast Club just round the corner, their banana milkshake is da bomb (yes it's true, I just said 'da bomb').

Over the last few weeks upon every visit there has been one question in my mind..."what is that?". Two very large structures under plastic sheeting appeared and no-one knew what they were. Some thought urinals, some thought art but no-one actually knew, until now.

They have been unveiled and are beautiful white flowers...that's one of my mind mysteries solved. Next? Why is my left foot slightly smaller than my right foot? Hmmm...

Beside the seaside...

Went to visit mama Coco this weekend. She lives in the quaint town of Hastings, East Sussex. Hastings is a little seaside town on the south east coast which has it bad parts (but hey, doesn't everywhere?), but, the nice parts are delightful. The beach, the pier, the fisherman's huts, the vintage stores and the cobbled streets. We went for a little wander before lunch and stumbled upon too many photo opps not to take some snaps...
