Alexander McQueen AW12 Campaign

Greetings readers!

How are we all? Apologies for my lack of posting, I have been off sunning myself in the Balearic isle of Mallorca. I had big intentions of writing and scheduling posts to go live while I was away but as usual, my best laid plans never seem to happen what with working and packing etc I just didn't get round to it (sorry about that).

I will be sharing the visual diary from my trip later this week but as I trawled through my emails this morning I came across the rather lovely Alexander McQueen AW12 campaign shots and simply had to share.

I love the origami, futuristic vibe and I love that red/pink ruffle dress.

Mid-week Moodboard

I have a menswear shoot coming up for a musician, I LOVE stepping out of fashion once in a while, the music projects I have done in the past have always been so much fun. Don't get me wrong, fashion is my main game but I love the way you really get into the brief with music, you have to really 'get' what the artist is all about. I have been given some room to push the boundaries a bit whilst maintaining true to the artist, here's my first bit of inspiration for you...

Images taken from various sources including my favourite menswear blog: Individualism. If I have used one of your images on here please let me know and I will credit you.

Fashion Film: Anna Selezneva in Santa Sangre

I found this whilst browsing NOWNESS.com, and I love it. Super-sexy, super model, Anna Selezneva stars in this short film by Swedish director Axel Lindahl. The piece is inspired by Spanish matadors which is reflected in the styling by Kate Sebbah.

Pieces featured: Vintage velvet tasseled collar by Amarcord; encrusted tight trousers by Manish Arora; gloves by La Crasia; and boots by J. Mendel

The Smoking Dress

Remember last week's post about my collaboration with creative pals Rebecca Elliot and Jonathon Griggs? Well here are the final shots. Pretty much loving them all, although the first shot is my favourite. Becky's idea to create a skirt from clear plastic and filling it with smoke really works. So different to what I usually do, I'm super pleased with the outcome.

What do you think?

Recent Obsession: Dagmar...

On a recent styling job I came across Swedish brand, Dagmar. It's true to say I'm now obsessed. The AW collection offers classic pieces in fresh cuts and shapes. Silhouettes are stretched and slim whilst layering and multiple textures offer an eclectic and bohemian feel to chic pieces.

IN LOVE - OBVS.

Behind the Scenes: Random Magazine Shoot...

A few behind the scenes shots from the shoot today. What a great day...fab photographer, fab model and fab hair and make-up artist (and maybe the styling wasn't too bad either!). Full shots to come.

A small selection of the jewellery I pulled for the shoot...
Some of the shoes, glorious shoes...
Hair and make-up...
We encountered a bit of drama early in the day...we were evacuated and the fire brigade turned up, as I dashed out of the studio for safety, I realised what I had left behind and grabbed all the shoes I could (just in case).
Happy Sunday readers, I hope the week ahead brings you style and sunshine.

A sneaky peak...

Yes readers, my favourite week is here, London Fashion Week. We had New York last week and now the fashion train has stopped in the capital. I will of course be doing a full round up of my favourite shows, designers, street style pics, celeb spots, etc etc but that's not what today is about.

As you may have read (see below post), I am now a full time stylist and style journalist so thought I'd share a couple of shots from a recent shoot I have styled, I'm not going to unveil them all you'll have to wait until my website is live but here is a sneaky peak. We shot on Hampsted Heath with a romantic, Wuthering Heights vibe...
