Wolf & Badger's Dover Street store launch

I have championed Wolf and Badger from the get-go. Not just another fashion boutique, W and B promote, support and most importantly- stock emerging and independent design. The carefully (and brilliantly) curated selection of womens and menswear, jewellery, accessories and even home wear is enough to make even the biggest stylista's mouth water and their store concepts are pretty easy on the eye too.

What's most impressive about this wonderful brand is it's age. It was not long ago that Wolf and Badger was just a twinkle in the co-owner's (and brothers) Henry and George Graham's eyes and it has now just opened it's second London store on the coveted retail space that is Dover Street, Mayfair.

I was lucky enough to hit the launch party this week, here's what I saw...

As you may know from previous posts, I'm also a fan of Gerogia Hardinge so you can imagine my excitement to see that her A-Mazing SS12 collection is now being stocked at the store (goodbye savings account).

The Hugo Boss Summer Party...

I was lucky enough to recently be invited to the Hugo Boss Summer Party at London Fashion Week's home, Somerset House and boy, am I glad.

The early evening saw a crowd of fashion insiders and industry hipsters enjoying cocktails and bubbles whilst enjoying mini roast dinner and mini lemon meringue pie canapés (which, by the way were divine). The beautifully decorated, riverside terrace was buzzing and once the rain ended it was the perfect setting to watch the sun go down.

Next it was on to the after party. Held in the secret tunnels below Somerset House (yes I didn't know this maze of wonder existed down there either), the party was pretty electric. Fun party tunes, hotties and the AW collection being projected onto the industrial, warehouse style wall all added to the perfect way to celebrate another successful year for Hugo Boss.

Super-cool crowd, super-cool night, super-cool brand - thanks to Liane, Daniel and the team at HB (you are ace).

A few favourites from the AW11 collection...

Event: Forever 21 London Launch...

What: Forever 21 UK Launch Party
Where: The Old Sorting Office
Drank: Berry vodka cocktails, topped with ginger beer

Wednesday night saw my beautiful friend (and blogging buddy) Sarah-Leigh and I head down to the UK launch of popular, US brand, Forever 21.

I was cynically anticipating a regular store event but I was overwhelmed with surprise. The brand have hit the UK with a bang by holding their launch in fashion week venue, The Old Sorting Office, and it wasn't your run-of-the-mill, ordinary launch either. As we walked into the venue it felt as though we were walking into a mini dream. A carousel, hotties on roller skates, tippie tents and beach huts brought an LA-cool vibe to a rainy London.

WAH Nails were dishing out treatments and a virtual, 3-D fashion show reminded us why we were all there. All-in-all a great launch of an already established brand in a new market.

The Oxford Street store opens tomorrow and if you can't wait, then shop online here.

Getting Over The Glasto Blues: iTunes Festival: Seasick Steve...

Last night I found the cure to my Glastonbury blues, who knew that it would be a performance by veteran blues singer, Seasick Steve. This year's iTunes festival started on Friday night and last night I was lucky enough to go Camden's Roundhouse for the festivities (mega big thanks to besties; Ria and Rory for the pleasure).

Happily sitting in the members bar with a great view, sipping on a gin and tonic was great enough. Then a few tracks in, Led Zeppelin's bassist John Paul Jones joined Seastick Steve on stage for the duration of the set. If that wasn't a treat enough, mid-set one of my top three rock chickas of all time, Alison Mosshart of The Kills came on as well as none other than Jack White of the White Stripes on drums. The dream team played one track together as the crowd went wild in the realisation that they were seeing something truly important.

Thanks Steve, I feel better now.

Event: Tabio Bloggers Event...

What: Tabio Bloggers Event
Where: Tabio, Kensington High Street
Drank: Vitamin Water

Work has been even more hectic this week- all good for a freelancer like myself. What it does mean is that I now desperately need to catch up on my blog.

On the road to playing catch up it's time to share my findings at the Tabio bloggers event. You may remember from an earlier post, I am already a fully-fledged Tabio fan so I needed no persuading to attend this event. A number of fashion bloggers were invited to come to the store, have a look at the products, mingle and we were lucky enought to be gifted a piece of our choice (more on my choice later).

With literally every style, colour, print and fabric under one roof, Tabio is the only place I will be stopping to give my pins a well dressed treat.
